[Workshop] 3 hours · for law firms and in-house legal teams
In one afternoon, your team walks away with an AI use policy ready for approval and three safe ways to work with AI.
Colombian courts are already scrutinizing how lawyers use AI
[01] What has already happened in ColombiaResponsibility still lies with whoever signs the filing, whether a person or a tool drafted it.
A lawyer fined
Fined 15 monthly minimum wages (salarios mínimos, Colombia's statutory minimum monthly wage) for citing ten non-existent, AI-generated rulings in an appeal. The Supreme Court of Justice reminded lawyers of their duty to verify every citation (Order AC739-2026).
Order AC739-2026 · consulted on 2026-10-23A decision set aside
The Court set aside a lower court's decision that quoted passages that do not exist in the rulings it cited (ruling STC17832-2025).

Constitutional Court ruling T-323 of 2024 set standards of transparency, accountability and human oversight for the use of AI.

- 01
Citations that don't exist
AI tools invent rulings complete with case number, date and judge. If no one checks them, they end up in the court filing.
- 02
Professional secrecy
Pasting a case file into a free account can expose client information. Professional secrecy is a legal duty for every lawyer (Law 1123 of 2007, Colombia's Lawyers' Disciplinary Code).
- 03
Personal data
In 2024 the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (SIC, Colombia's data protection authority) set rules for processing personal data in AI systems (External Circular 002).
By video call, with your whole team. Before the session, your team answers a six-question form, so the policy arrives already tailored to your firm.

- BLOCK 1
The real risk
Sanctioned cases, the rules in force, professional secrecy and personal data. Exercise: spot the fake citation in a court filing.
- BLOCK 2
Three safe workflows, live
Each participant summarizes a case file without exposing data, drafts a document while verifying every citation, and reviews contract clauses, using fictitious cases from their own practice area.
- BLOCK 3
Your firm's policy
We go through it rule by rule and decide which tools are allowed and who is accountable. It leaves ready for approval.
Teams that already use AI and don't want to rely on luck
- 01Law firms of 5 to 50 lawyers
- 02Legal and compliance teams at fintechs and insurtechs
- 03Insurance brokers and companies with regulated clients
No technical background needed. Each participant works with the AI tool they already use.

Before you book
No. It's a training workshop: your team leaves with a policy and three workflows. It is not an audit or an ISO/IEC 42001 certification, and it does not guarantee regulatory compliance.
At least 3 people from the same organization, one of them with authority to approve the policy. From 26 to 50 people the workshop is taught in two groups. With fewer than 3, we recommend the kit.
If, at the end of the session, your team doesn't have an AI use policy ready for approval and three workflows applied, we refund 100 % of what you paid. It covers the deliverable of the session; it does not promise the outcome of any case or of any proceeding before an authority.
No. Every exercise uses fictitious cases from your practice area. We never ask for real client information.
The one your team already uses. During the session, you decide which tools are allowed and with what type of account.
By payment link (card, PSE, Colombia's online bank transfer system, or Nequi, a mobile wallet) or by bank transfer. We issue an electronic invoice (factura electrónica) to your organization.
I ask how your team uses AI today and what concerns you. If the workshop isn't right for you, I'll tell you on that same call.
